The United Nations has accepted Chinese entertainment firm Tencent to oversee a project investigating the development of a standard technological and security framework for non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The project, branded a “technical framework for DLT-based digital collecting services,” will be the world’s first U.N.-approved standards program for NFTs, according to state-owned local media.
