On Wednesday, U.S. prosecutors in Manhattan charged a former product manager at OpenSea, the largest online marketplace for non-fungible tokens, with insider trading. This is the first case of its kind involving digital assets.

Nathaniel Chastain, who lives in Manhattan and is 31 years old, was accused of buying 45 NFTs in secret on 11 different occasions because he knew that the tokens or others made by the same creator would soon be featured on OpenSea’s home page.
