Smobler Studios and The Sandbox are taking virtual reality to the next level by using the metaverse not just for games but also for weddings.
The first-ever metaverse wedding was held both in The Sandbox and in real life. The Sandbox was used as a shared virtual space for the wedding. In the metaverse, you can now do things that may not be possible or traditionally accepted at Asian weddings.
Clarence Chan, the CEO of Bandwagon, and Joanne Tham, his bride, got married at “The Alkaff Mansion” in the metaverse on September 17.
