Ken Kutaragi, who made the PlayStation, laughed off the metaverse as the tech industry’s next big thing and head-mounted displays as the way to get there. He said that they divide the real and virtual worlds instead of bringing them together.
In an interview with Bloomberg News, the 71-year-old entrepreneur said, “Being in the real world is very important, but the metaverse is about making the virtual world seem almost real, and I don’t see the point of that.”
