After filing a trademark application for music and artists under the Columbia Records logo, Sony Music Entertainment made it clear that it plans to use nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

According to a trademark application filed on August 30 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and shared by trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis on Tuesday, the application covers “audio and video recordings featuring live musical performances authenticated by NFTs.”
