Russian Artist burns her Passport to make NFT for a good reason

Olive Allen, a Russian visual artist, and New York City resident, has taken a unique stance against the bloodshed in Ukraine by burning her home country’s passport outside the Russian consulate. “I destroyed my passport because I don’t believe in Putin’s Russia and I oppose the conflict in Ukraine,” Allen explained. The artist filmed footage of her act of disobedience and auctioned it off as an NFT on the marketplace. She subsequently gave the whole auction profits (3.66 eth, or more over $9,000) to Save the Children Ukraine.
