The Italian company Ray Ban is working with Meta to make smart glasses in 2020. The company’s head of eyewear research and development, Federico Buffa, said that Ray Ban wants to build “a gateway” to augmented reality and the metaverse by improving features like those that let people make hands-free calls through WhatsApp and take photos.
