As soon as her death was announced in the U.K. on Thursday, people rushed to buy non-fungible token (NFT) artworks of Queen Elizabeth II as a way to pay tribute to the longest-ruling British monarch.
Since the announcement, the popular NFT marketplace OpenSea has put up thousands of NFTs for sale, from photos of Queen Elizabeth to art pieces that are part of popular NFT collections.
