NASA is likely to join the ranks of large industries that are capitalizing on the metaverse’s promise. According to Gamerant, the space agency is searching for virtual reality simulations of the Mars expedition.
NASA has also been striving to get humans more used to staying on Mars. NASA wants people to remain in Martian dwellings built on Earth to learn about the effects of prolonged stays in these alien surroundings. Because all simulations are impractical in real life, the space agency has turned to the next best thing, the metaverse.
