Meta to Develop ‘Basic Ads’ That Use Much Less Data Targeting

    A report on Friday said that Meta will look into making new ads that don’t use advanced targeting. This would mean that less user data would be used or needed (June 3).

    Two people who buy ads said that the ads would not use “any anonymized personal information.”

    It would be called “Basic Ads,” and it would be for advertisers who want to get their brand in front of a wide audience.
