Japanese gov’t issues NFTs to reward local authorities work.

    The Japanese government is one of the first to give out nonfungible tokens (NFTs) as an extra reward for local governments that have done a great job of using digital technology to solve local problems.

    During the “Summer Digi Denkoshien 2022” ceremony, the Cabinet Secretariat gave the awards, which is a government agency led by the country’s Chief Cabinet Secretary, Hirokazu Matsuno. The Prime Minister of the country, Fumio Kishida, was also there.
