The current Japanese rulers, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), established an NFT policy task force earlier this year. The ‘NFT Policy Review Project Team’ is their real name. Masaaki Taira, a member of the LDP, is the leader of this group. Takuya Hirai, the former Minister of Digital Transformation, founded it.
Japan intends to improve its movements in the near future. According to taskforce member Akihisa Shiozaki’s whitepaper, the country must “drive innovation in the web 3.0 era.” The paper also mentioned the need for a minister to oversee web3-related issues.
