Ford Motor Company is the latest car company to get ready to join the world of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and the Metaverse. It has filed 19 trademark applications for its major car brands.
On the other hand, Ford confirmed Wednesday night that as part of its ongoing Ford+ plan to turn things around, it will lay off 580 salaried and contract workers in the United States. There will be about 350 salaried job cuts and 230 agency job cuts. Most of the cuts happened in engineering, because the Detroit automaker is switching to electric cars.
