accidentally transfers $10.5m to a woman instead of $100


    It was recently discovered that an Australian woman had requested a $100 refund from, which had mistakenly transferred $10.5M to the woman.

    It occurred in May of last year, but the error was not detected until just before Christmas during a company audit.

    When attempted to retrieve the funds, they had already been transferred and spent on a multimillion-dollar mansion.

    In response to’s legal proceedings, a judge has ordered the property to be sold and the money repaid.

    An account number was allegedly inserted into the payment area instead of the $100 return, causing the error. What a wild story.
