Bored Ape owners can ‘audition’ their NFTs for a new film trilogy

The Bored Ape Yacht Club is being adapted into three films, with popular cryptocurrency startup Coinbase playing a key role. There’s a reason Yuga Labs, the firm behind BAYC, hasn’t revealed anything about the plot of the trilogy.

Yuga is seeking owners of Bored Apes to submit their Apes for auditions in the trilogy, along with a backstory for each. Yuga promises that entries will be reviewed by a professional Hollywood casting director. If an owner’s Ape is selected for the film, they will be paid a $10,000 license fee in bitcoin or ApeCoin. When Ape owners buy a BAYC NFT, they get complete licensing rights, unlike most NFTs.
