A popular NFT project, Axie Infinity, which was recently hacked and has a lot of users, used a Discord bot that was hacked and used to send scam messages to users. The “Mee6” bot was used to moderate Discord channels. When it was hacked, scam messages were sent through these communities. In the case of Axie Infinity, the hackers pretended to be one of the co-founders of the game.
