American Idol is shaking things up for its 20th season by introducing contestant-based digital trade cards as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). ThetaDrop, Theta Network’s green and low-cost NFT marketplace.
Fans who buy a $99 American Idol NFT Card Pack will get a random NFT card of one of the top 14 competitors. Collectors who own the required number of contestant cards will earn unique gifts for the next five weeks as contestants are removed from the game.
