Amazon CEO Andy Jassy claims he doesn’t own any Bitcoin or nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and has no plans to adopt crypto as a payment option in the near future. He does believe, though, that the e-commerce behemoth will sell NFTs at some point in the future.
After founder Jeff Bezos stepped down last year, Andy Jassy took over as CEO of Amazon. In his first annual shareholder letter, Jassy mentioned Amazon’s huge growth during the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the popularity and expansion of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, the CEO claims that the company is not close to integrating it as a payment option at checkout.
