Uneeq, a New Zealand-based business that created Sophie, a digital person, has teamed with BMW, Deutsche Telekom, and IBM. Sophie is using Uneeq’s new collection of nonfungible token (NFT) art to raise her profile and better incorporate herself into the Web3 constellation of upcoming technologies.
Sophie isn’t the first AI character to sell NFTs; that honor probably goes to Sophia the Robot, who sold a “self-portrait” for about $700,000 last year.
